Last week our Kindergarten classes had the pleasure of touring the Winkler Fire Hall. Students were very excited to learn about fire safety and asked many questions. After a story and practicing how to “stop, drop and roll,” we got to see all the tools that fire fighters use to help keep our community safe. Students were thrilled to climb onto the fire trucks and to see all the different vehicles from ladder trucks, pumper trucks and more. Back in the classroom we have added a Fire Station in our dramatic play centers and it has been a favourite with students. The classes agreed that it was the “best field trip ever!”
