In April, 2ED learned all about the life cycle of chickens! We had an incubator with 36 eggs in our classroom and 21 days later 15 eggs hatched! The students had so much fun learning about chicks and chickens and holding and caring for the chicks for the few days we had them in the classroom. We read all about chickens, wrote down our observations, wrote stories, and did research on different types of birds. This experience provided us with lots of different learning opportunities!
