The grade 2 students have been enjoying the warm weather we had for a few weeks. Students loved wading through the puddles instead of rolling in the snow. While we loved the warmth, we missed our snowmen, snow forts, hill slides and all the winter games we love to play. Winter Fun Day is coming up this February and it will have to look different.
2TV read the book Sadie’s Snowman by Allen Morgan which tells the story about a little girl’s snowman who just keeps melting. For art class we created our own melted snowmen. Each layer of the snowman has a paper spring so that our snowmen pop up off the page. This was not a project I imagined doing in February! Check it out!
