What can you make with a leaf?! Buddy classes 2VV and 1BSm met this week to read in partners, hunt for leaves and create leaf art together. Buddy time between different grades help to foster community in our school by building relationships and providing older students with a chance to be leaders to younger students. After spending some time taking turns reading from our book bags in partners or groups of 3, we looked at images of what we could do with the dried leaves outside. We enjoyed nature by going outside to walk around the school and hunt for leaves together. Many of us created art and images that looked different than what we had originally planned which provides opportunities for flexible thinking and resilience. We look forward to meeting every month with our buddy classes!
