The Kindergarten students have been learning all about grocery stores over the past few weeks. We've read many books about what people do at the grocery store and even practiced running our own classroom grocery store! We had so much fun that we decided to visit a real grocery store to see if we were doing it right.

We took a bus to the local Co-op, where we met some amazing staff who gave us a fantastic tour. The Kindergarteners loved tasting cheese in the deli, watching cupcakes being decorated, exploring the freezers and coolers, and seeing how beef is ground and priced.

We learned so much about how grocery stores work and had an incredible time! We can’t wait to go back again sometime. Some of the Kindergarteners even decided they’d like to work there when they grow up!
