The Amazon Rainforest in South America is described as the lungs of the earth. In our Social Studies the grade 3s are exploring all its fascinating habitats and ecosystems. Mr. Ens came and presented us with pictures and artifacts from when he lived in Brazil.
In Art we sponge painted a mural for the bulletin board as we explored the characteristics of each layer. We learned that each layer, the emergent, canopy, understory, forest floor and the river all have different plants and fascinating animals to learn about. Next, we will be exploring its natural resources and products that come to us from the Amazon. What products do you think come from the Amazon?
