In 1BSm we have been talking about kindness, friendship and love. We have enjoyed reading many books with those themes and writing about them. To wrap up our Valentine’s week we made woven paper hearts. Students navigated this challenging task with their problem-solving skills and their improving fine motor skills. Throughout the last month we have focused on improving and strengthening our fine motor skills through lacing, cutting, pinching and fun art projects like this. Students also identified the patterns they had made and what adding colours to the pattern would do to their beautiful work.
Students in 1BSm had a great time celebrating friendship and love. We look forward to more fun and friendship in the coming weeks!
